Consider asking for a room with a view, as ground floor options overlook a privacy hedge.

The peaceful setting and well-kept grounds, along with glimpses of red squirrels. The room was spacious, with direct access to the courtyard and pool area, a real plus for relaxation. The restaurant's lighting was too dim was great, and I found it disappointing that the lovely conservatory wasn't utilized . The lack of air conditioning in the room added to the discomfort.

One of the most obliging teams I have met in many years of hotel visiting. Nothing was too much trouble for them in any respect. This was an eight day break for my wife and I and we agreed that it was one of our most relaxing and refreshing holidays for a long time. It was all we would want from a very reasonably priced hotel. We have stayed in vastly more expensive places which have been very modest compared with La Place. Cuisine too was excellent - we ate in on a few nights but we fared no better in quality restaurants in the nearby port. I would unhesitatingly reccomend this hotel.

More accessibility features for seniors would be helpful.
